San Diego native Mike Maxwell opened his latest show, “Extra Sensory” last weekend at Subtext Gallery. Maxwell’s mustachioed men and psychedelia combine nicely, albeit unexpectedly, much like a Ken Burns Civil War documentary… on acid.
