Studio Visit with Reuben Rude

by Ken HarmanPosted on

Hi-Fructose swung by the San Francisco studio of artist Reuben Rude recently as the artist was putting the finishing touches on his latest body of work,’Place to Place’, now on view at Thinkspace Gallery in Culver City. Vintage magazines and comics pile high to the ceiling, the walls are littered with various vinyl figures and ephemera while piles of found wood find sanctuary in every available nook and cranny, providing the perfect inspirational setting for the illustrator and artist.

Known for his work in the comic industry, as a poster designer and printer, and as a creative director for vinyl figure powerhouse StrangeCo, Rude’s talents run the gamut, all converging to find their proper home in his latest body of work, ‘Place to Place’. Get a look inside the artist’s space, mind and studio here on Hi-Fructose.
