Since we last saw Victor Castillo in Hi-Fructose Volume 8 (and more recently here on the website), the Barcelona-based Chilean artist took the big leap, moving stateside to Los Angeles. To celebrate his recent relocation, Castillo will be bringing his iconic empty-eyed and hot dog-nosed children to Merry Karnowsky Gallery for ‘Rebel With a Cause’. In this latest chapter, Castillo’s children create an even larger swath of mayhem and destruction through both the countryside and cityscape. Religion, war, politics and innocence, no subject is safe from the carefree meddling of Castillo’s kids. ‘Rebel With a Cause’ opens later tonight (Saturday, February 5th), get an exclusive preview of the show below.
