Marion Peck’s “What You Are, So Once Were We”

by Ken HarmanPosted on

This Thursday, December 16th, Marion Peck‘s latest, “What You Are, So Once Were We” will be opening at NYC’s Sloan Fine Art.  Inspired by found photographic portraiture of subjects long passed, Peck’s newest body of work engages in a transcendental dialogue that draws in both the living and the dead through a series of monochromatic daguerreotype-esque portraits, a black velvet installation, and even some sculpture. Accompanying the show will be the release of Peck’s monograph, Animal Love Summer, the artist will be on hand for signing Saturday, December 18th. Get a glimpse at a few works from the show after the jump.
