The Trespass Book Signing at Taschen – Art Basel Miami Beach 2010

by Ken HarmanPosted on

Last weekend, the Taschen Books Miami store hosted a very special signing for their latest release – Trespass: A History of Uncommissioned Urban Art. Penned by heralded arts writer Carlo McCormick, and curated by the folks over at Wooster Collective, Trespass goes beyond your typical street art book fodder to provide and incisive look into the history of urban art dating back over thirty years, including some rarely mentioned artists such as Jenny Holzer, Gordon Matta-Clark and the Guerrilla Girls. Featuring many never before seen photos provided by both artists and photographers, as well as an exclusive intro by Banksy (!), Trespass looks to be a definitive compendium for this often discussed, but rarely academically analyzed art.
