Recently opened in New York City at ISE Foundation ‘Another Roadside Attraction’ features a collected group of works exploring the ‘Neo-Grotesque.’ As a new term that’s flitting around the contemporary art movement, the works center around the grotesque natures of others and the darkness of life, finding art and subtle beauty within the recesses of bone, demons and hysteria. The collection of drawings, paintings, photographs and sculpture attempt to explore this term in a modern light, filtered through the hands of contemporary artists such as Carrie Ann Baade, Caitlin Hackett and Heather Gargon.
