Caitlin Hackett (HF Vol. 17) has unveiled a new drawings; a mini series of smaller scale ‘Song Birds’ inked entirely in her signature medium of choice: ball point pen. The birds feature the abnormal additions of human and insect parts seen throughout her work, yet in these new pieces, mechanical elements such as zippers and screw nails freckle the birds, harkening an unnatural, industrial feeling.
