Battle Burn Round One

San Francisco's Brief Space Gallery, located inside the Metreon, recently hosted the very first round of their ongoing Battle Burn series. Pitting eight artists against each other in spontaneous and timed "battles", Battle Burn draws each round's subject matter from crowd suggestions, features a panel of local "celebrity" judges and offers cash prizes to the winners. The winner of each round then progresses on to the championship, a battle royale that will be taking place next year at the esteemed De Young Museum in San Francisco.

Round Two is coming up on December 3rd, but in the meantime check out our photos from the first round featuring HF-favorites Brett Amory, Reuben Rude, N8 Van Dyke, Jessie Balmer and more!
