Jesse Hazelip in Oakland

by Ken HarmanPosted on

Hi-Fructose trucked across town to Oakland yesterday for an impromptu wheat pasting session with Jesse Hazelip, whom you’ll remember from HF Vol. 14.. Since we last accompanied the young artist in Berkeley (here), Hazelip’s been on quite the roll with a window installation at the SFMOMA as well as an upcoming artist talk also at the SFMOMA’s Artist Gallery this coming Saturday afternoon. Moderated by Hazelip’s former Art Center College of Design mentor and professor, Rob Clayton, the talk looks to be an informative look into the evolution of Hazelip’s art and subjects. The talk will take place at: The SFMOMA Artist’s Gallery, Building A in Fort Mason, San Francisco from 2:00-3:30PM this Saturday, August 21st. View some more pictures of Hazelip at work in Oakland, here on Hi-Fructose.

Editor’s Note: We posted a similar photo of Jesse at work during the wheat pasting, if you haven’t found us yet, the new Hi-Fructose Fan Page is a great place for spontaneous and live updates.

The completed piece can be found on 34th St. near Hollis in West Oakland.
