As poster, print and design artists begin to integrate themselves more into the world of gallery shows and “fine” art, much as many comic book illustrators did before them, it seems as if their lower price points, larger edition sizes and built in fan base oftentimes result in highly successful shows (see the recent Daniel Danger show at 1988 that we previewed here). One such artist that we’ve had on radar for a while is LA’s Kevin Tong, who will be opening his first solo show in at Phonebooth Gallery in Long Beach tomorrow night (Saturday, August 14th). Kevin was kind enough to send us three preview images, view them all here on Hi-Fructose.
