The work of Cristina Natsuko Paulos recently caught our eye over at La Luz De Jesus Galleryin Los Angeles. Her latest showing, “Intrinsic Duality” is a look intothe lives of her Twins characters, a dyad originally created as anearly animation experiment. Perhaps it is the character’s relationshipto the artist as both animated and still figures, the naturalconjugated state of twins, or Paulos’ bi-racial background (halfJapanese, half Portuguese) that has led to her unique voice and themefor her current show.
