On Saturday night, May 15th 2010, the Bristol Museum opened their doors for the grand opening of the highly anticipated “Art From the New World” show. Featuring a veritable who’s-who of American contemporary, street, and new-brow artists, “Art From the New World” proved to be a popular follow up to last year’s record breaking Banksy museum show. As we mentioned in our behind-the-scenes look last week, in addition to the amazing artwork there was also a bevy of interactive and non-conventional curatorial aspects to the show including a Mike Stilkey installation, Buff Monster installation and murals, Gary Baseman character appearance, and even a guided tour of the exhibit by Corey Helford director Richard Scarry (taking place Saturday, May 22nd). View our photos from the opening festivities here.
