Kirsten Anderson of Roq la Rue returns from a stop over in Amsterdam where she paid a studio visit to artist Chris Berens whom she first brought our way for HF Vol.9. ……………………………………………………..

A couple of weeks ago I had a layover in Amsterdam so I stopped by Chris Berens new studio to check out his work for his upcoming exhibition at Amsterdam’s Jaski Art Gallery. Entitled The White Ones, the majority of the show is painted in light tones, with each painting focusing on evoking a particular element, such as clouds, wind, snow, and mist. He is also working on his biggest canvas yet, a breathtaking scene depicting water nymphs, white peacocks, carousel horses, and his usual menagerie of dream creatures. The show opens Saturday June 20th! Here is a sneak peek!

Chris greets us at the entrance to his studio where he is working on a huge canvas.
