Opening June 6th, at Copro Gallery, Joe Ledbetter‘s show Death and Taxes featuring paintings, limited edition prints and toys only available at the gallery. “It’s blunt, true and tragically funny,” says Ledbetter of Ben Franklin’s quote “‘… in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.’ That is what I was trying to go for in my new pieces. Some paintings are a reflection of current events, the economic meltdown, war and friction, etc. But I also wanted to mix in some light-hearted and fun pieces.” Joe will be there to sign his new book Creatures of Habit which debuts at the opening.
