Mark Dean Veca, one of the featured artists in “Turn the Page: The First Ten Years of Hi-Fructose,” created a new installation for the exhibition’s final stop at Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento. The absorbing, surreal “Maddest Hatter” greets visitors straight out of the elevator at the museum. In an Instagram video, the artist guides viewers through the completed installation:

A video from wrap installer Justin Pate offers a different view. The artist also gives credit to King of Wraps (who snapped the top image on this page), Avery Dennison Graphics, Mutoh America, and Car Wrap City in helping to pull off “Maddest Hatter.”
Veca’s 30-year career has seen the artist experiment in murals, painting, drawing, sculptures, installations, and much more. His work has been called “sinister pop,” “psychedelic,” and portraying “surreal cartoons.”
