Drawings that Interact With the Gallery Space by Cesar Del Valle

by Danny OldaPosted on

Colombian artist Cesar Del Valle takes an evolving and unique approach to drawing.  Beginning with the simple foundation of a mark on a surface, Del Valle looks beyond the drawing pad for different ways that the charcoal or graphite can interact with the viewer.  The pieces featured here are often life size and drawn directly on to the gallery wall.  Del Valle takes advantage of the realistic size, creating his subjects in such a way that they interact with the surrounding space and props, in turn encouraging visitors to engage with the drawings differently.
