Though the art of Jon Fox may seem indebted to Japanese Manga and illustration at a first glance, his works take on a new dimension when one takes into consideration that these extravagantly-detailed pieces are oil paintings that often span over two meters in each direction. The British artist creates a cacophony of geometric forms, mapping out grids that correspond to a rigid order yet appear to fly into the canvas at a violent speed.
