On View: Hollis + Lana’s “The Everyday Circus” at Gildar Gallery

Though their work evokes abstract expressionism, husband-and-wife duo Hollis + Lana paint abstract marks with the bubbly texture of cartoon clouds. Each candy-colored splatter is shaded and outlined with intention, though the effect appears deceptively spontaneous. Hollis + Lana's solo show, "The Everyday Circus," is currently on view at Gildar Gallery in Denver, CO through October 4 and includes new large-scale paintings as well as drawings and sculptures.
