Mateus Gapski Explores the Supernatural

Polish artist Mateus Gapski is half of the street art duo Etam Cru, who have recently been getting recognition for their enormous, detailed murals. His oil and acrylic paintings on canvas explore Eastern European folkloric themes with a contemporary aesthetic, placing female protagonists in wooded settings where elements of the supernatural creep in. Take a look at some of Gapski's studio work after the jump.
