Graffiti great Doze Green recently opened his first solo show in Paris at Openspace Gallery, presenting a new series of color-saturated paintings with a neo-Cubist feel. Green’s recent work puts an abstract spin on character-based graffiti; the artist alternately hollows out forms and fills them with color, presenting a glossy, prismatic result that evokes Caribbean folk art and the European avant garde alike. “New Works” is on view through July 31. Take a look at some photos from the lively opening reception courtesy of Fatina Faye and Openspace Gallery.
