Next week, Dutch painter SIT will debut a solo show titled “Haiiro No Kaze” at C.A.V.E. Gallery in Venice, CA. With his roots in commercial work, SIT once worked solely in digital media but later abandoned the tablet and computer mouse and switched over to acrylic and graphite. For “Haiiro No Kaze,” the monochromatic works have a computerized element — clean lines, figures that appear to fade into pixels, immaculately-clean edges — but these digital-looking effects are rendered entirely by hand. Take a look at some of SIT’s work below and check out his show at C.A.V.E. Gallery June 8 through June 25.
