On View: Francesca Romana Di Nunzio at Dorothy Circus Gallery

Italian artist Francesca Romana Di Nunzio recently revealed a new series of oil-painted clay sculptures in the four-person show "God is Her Deejay" at Rome's Dorothy Circus Gallery (view our sneak peek here). Centered around the a mystical, deified view of the female form, the exhibition features work from Di Nunzio, Afarin Sajedi and Sas and Colin Christian. Di Nunzio's new sculptures present alluring, hybrid figures that allude to mythology. Pouting, scaly and feathery women stare with captivating eyes that evoke the sirens and mermaids of ancient literature.
