Preview: Kenny Scharf’s “Kolors” at Paul Kasmin Gallery

Well-known artist Kenny Scharf has a solo show coming up at New York’s Paul Kasmin Gallery titled “Kolors” featuring large-scale sculptures and paintings each spanning over six, sometimes eight, feet in height. For the show, Scharf strips down his polished aesthetic, focusing his energy on a specific color in every piece. The artist treats each color as his personal playground — the different textures and hues within each painting evoke the essence of stylized graffiti letters, classic cartoons and Abstract Expressionism alike. Take a look at some images from “Kolors” courtesy of Paul Kasmin Gallery and check out the show April 4 – May 4.
