Interdisciplinary artist Cecilia Paredes practices what she calls “photoperformance,” using body paint and other materials to camouflage herself in elaborate, decorative environments. The result is documented in photographs that resemble paintings because, in part, they are. For her “Landscape” series, Paredes chooses elaborate, floral patterns, creating an interesting juxtaposition between the natural and the artificial.
