Gildar Gallery in Denver will celebrate its first anniversary this weekend with two group shows titled “Vol. 3” and “Vol. 4” (a continuation of the group shows “Vol. 1” and “Vol. 2” from last year). “Vol. 3” will premiere this Saturday, January 12, and will feature a diverse roster of emerging artists. Some notable pieces include Shawn Huckins’ Internet-influenced take on 18th-century portraiture, Amber Cobb’s abstractions of animal life and Mark Mulroney’s deconstructed cartooning.
