Italian artist Daniele Del Nero uses architectural models to create ghostly visions of abandoned buildings. The artist constructs replicas of suburban two-story houses and larger apartment buildings from black paper for his series “After Effects,” coating them in flour and mold to cultivate the spooky ambiance of a haunted house in a post-apocalyptic world. “My purpose is to talk about the sense of time and destiny of the planet after the human species, through the sense of restlessness which abandoned buildings are able to communicate,” Del Nero explained.
