Phil Noto‘s paintings have an illustrative quality reminiscent of 1960s advertisements; his dusty, retro color palette gives his works a twinge of nostalgia, lending his realism a sense of fantasy. This Friday, Noto will open his solo show, “35mm,” at Bold Hype Gallery in New York.
