Preview: Phil Noto’s “35mm” at Bold Hype Gallery

Phil Noto's paintings have an illustrative quality reminiscent of 1960s advertisements; his dusty, retro color palette gives his works a twinge of nostalgia, lending his realism a sense of fantasy. This Friday, Noto will open his solo show, "35mm," at Bold Hype Gallery in New York. Inspired by cinema, the new works in the show take their inspiration from some of Noto's favorite films, filtering them through the artist's personal aesthetic.
