The mysterious collective TrustoCorp (featured in Hi-Fructose Vol. 22) are taking their political street art overseas to Lazarides’ The Outsiders Newcastle. Their first U.K. solo show, “International Bank of Trusto” is a collection of spoofs and satires that poke fun (sometimes playfully, other times viciously) at consumer culture and globalization. Appropriating the glossy language of product design and advertisements, TrustoCorp inject their subversive messages into a pretty packaging easily digestible for the eyes.
