Esther Stocker’s Installations Alter Perception of Space

In her installation art, Esther Stocker messes with her viewers' heads, surrounding them with lines and planes that change their perception of space. Walking into one of Stocker's black-and-white rooms is like invading the two-dimensional world of a line drawing. Using wood, foam and acrylic as her media, she creates dramatic illusions of depth the same way one does when making marks on a sheet of paper to create three-dimensional forms.
