Artist Eric van Straaten pushes the boundaries of sculpture and technology. His creative process involves a 3D printer that produces the objects of his complex computer creations. This process of building three dimensional solid objects layer by layer is also known as additive manufacturing. It requires large equipment and great technical skill to achieve the desired effect.
