The Humorous Silkscreens and Paintings by Parra

Parra is an multi talented artist who creates humorous silkscreens and paintings. These works are an incorporation of highly saturated colors that pop in contrast to heavy, dark lyrical lines. When he is not creating paintings he spends his time doing illustration and graphic design work for his clients such as Nike, Etnies, Zoo York, and Heineken. In addition to this he is working as an art director for Colorblind Skateboards and a cofounder of the popular apparel label Rockwell Clothing. This busy artist lives and works in Amsterdam, The Netherlands where he has a huge underground network of fans and supporters. We recently covered Parra's show at that SFMOMA entitled Weirded Out.
