Heather Gargon’s ‘Space Hunter’

Gallery 309 in Philadelphia recently opened ‘Space Hunter’the solo exhibition of artist Heather Gargon. The works are collected in an evidentiarystyle; her signature sculptures of odd yet friendly creatures are contained inglass cases or as mounted ‘taxidermy’ and are nicely paired with the similarly natured drawings. The gentle creatures, appearing furry or curled around barebreasted woman have a tender, fantastical quality that appeals to all generations. View moreof the new work after the jump.
