Flight and Fable at Corey Helford Gallery

Coming next week to Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City is another compelling looking three person show, "Flight and Fable." Bringing together three new contemporary female artists from around the country in an exposition of figurative, animal and fantastical works. For her third showing at the gallery, Sarah Folkman explores the human form and winged creatures on exotic woods in "Experiments in Flight", while Krista Huot (who we last saw in her studio here) presents "Changelings", a further exploration into her storybook worlds, this time in their largest yet seen, all with a pop culture twist. To top that all off, Isabel Samaras (who's studio we visited a couple years back, here) will be showing in a special salon-style space on the gallery's second floor with "Heavy Gretel", we'll be visiting her Bay Area studio soon, but in the meantime check out an extensive preview from all three artists here on Hi-Fructose.
